I am really disappointed with this show. I watched the original and it was my favorite show as a child. My 10 year old girls love the original. Now let’s get to the new Netflix remake. This is close to the worst written show I have seen in years!! Everything is predictable, and I mean everything!! The most predictable thing is the characters alway do the wrong thing. Let’s talk about one episode I just watched. The mother and daughter, the mother and daughter are washed over a waterfall. They are stranded at the bottom of the water fall. The space ship is directly above them. The entire crew spend half an episode trying to figure out how to recover them from the bottom of the waterfall. THEY ARE A HUNDRED FEET FROM THE SHIP!! The brilliant plan is the take the rover out of the bottom for the space ship, which is underwater. That’s right under water!! Hook the rover winch line to the ship and LOWER THE ROVER DOWN THE WATERFALL. HAVE THE MOM AND DAUGHTER HET IN THE ROVER AND THE WINCH IT BACK UP TO THE SHIP. That is about as stupid as changing a light bulb by holding it still and spinning the house!!!!! With all the crew brain power they supposedly have, how is it they didn’t consider using a rope or ,, oh yes!! the winch cable on the rover. Why not just lower the winch cable to the mom and daughter in stead of an entire rover. The rope or winch cable would have taken a few minutes and I guess that’s just to easy. Really bad storyline with lots of big holes in the story. The characters do nothing but make blundering mistakes , one after another. They never learn and they are not likable because they act stupid all the time. We pay for Netflix, they need to hire writers that give us our monies worth. The original Lost In Space has a die hard fan base because it was an enjoyable show for kids and adults. This new version of the show is destroying the legacy of a beloved series. Netflix, wake up!! make this right!
