I tried watching this and stopped after seeing Marlo Thomas' face. Waaaaay too much plastic surgery (eyebrows too high, nose looks like Michael Jackson's, cheek implants, lip filler and who knows what else) and she doesn't look like a real person. Her appearance is too distracting for me. I looked up older pictures of her and she looked great the way she was. It's such a shame.

100% loved it. Great chemistry between Jack and Lacey Chabert's character. Jack is a very kind and lovable character. The sheriff is so funny (Darryl from the office) with his over-the-top serious attitude. The townspeople are lovely and the older women love Jack. To me, this is better than a Hallmark movie, and I do like them. This is an endearingly, warm-hearted yet silly movie which hooked me in at the start. Somehow, it just worked.

I'm so sad this was cancelled after two seasons and left with unfulfilled story lines. It was great to watch an upbeat TV show for once. It could be silly and that was a great thing about it. The characters were mostly wonderful and it was such a relief to watch an easy, breezy show before going to sleep. I would much rather see this show than NCIS Origins, a game show or reality show. Also, whatever happened to sitcoms? Aside from What We Do in the Shadows (in its final season), nothing makes me laugh as hard as this show. The best thing about it is that it is a true sitcom and not drama mixed with a bit of comedy.

*******SPOILER ALERT****** This movie is light-hearted, but I couldn't stop thinking how Gary could so easily change from a pleasant, mild-mannered philosophy professor into so many different hit men (using wigs, rotten teeth and different personalities). All I kept thinking was, is he really a sociopath? Why was it so easy for him to stay in character as Ron, not to mention all the lying to the police? Maybe I've watched too many Law & Order: SVU episodes, but Gary was creepy to me. It was so easy for him to murder someone in cold blood. The woman he loves is just as bad. I think a different script would have been much better. I was expecting a comedy, but this wasn't one.

This is such a sweet movie. I wish they had never put in a romantic interest for Tom Hanks' character. Not Catherine Zeta-Jones' fault. I just think the character doesn't fit with the rest of the story.

I just watched the first episode of Everybody Still Hates Chris and I loved it! Tichina Arnold and Terry Crewes are back playing Mom and Dad in the cartoon version (9/26/2024). There are so few sitcoms or funny shows out there and this one made me laugh.

The new Doctor Who 2024 season on Disney is horrible. There's little to no story. I feel bad for the new actors, who really have nothing to do. I just watched the ep. called Dot & Bubble or something like that. There was no character development; just a bunch of nothingness and I can't continue the rest of the episodes. I suppose it was about racism, but there was no bite to the writing, and it wasn't brought up until the end scene. Or it could have been about classism or both, but it still needs to be interesting.

I have watched the first 12 episodes because I just can't believe how anti-feminist, racist and homophobic this show is. Wasn't this a Tina Fey show? Why does her character never stand up for herself? Why is every female character dumb and all the males always putting them down? Then there's the episode where Tracy Morgan calls the only other black character the n-word. That character goes to HR where Liz Lemon, Jack Donagey and Tracy are in attendance and Liz Lemon (and the rest) whitesplain that it's a term of endearment. I also tried watching Tina Fey's The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and Tina Fey has a white actor expain she's Indigenous American on the show. Why is Tina Fey considered so great. I realize 30 Rock goes back to 2006, and other shows like Friends have similar problems, but Ms. Fey's show is just awful. I'm not watching anymore.
