LOVE THIS! Sociological study on racism as it presents itself in the form of a horror presentation. It shows the trauma; isolation; and self-deprivation of those who suffered under the cruel hands of those who thought themselves more superior -simply because of skin color. I love how each character must deal with its own psychological manifestation. The husband is the black face Minstrel always performing for the whites looking for approval; the teen is a blonde hair, blue-eyed girl which represents her idea of beauty. The mother has her own past to deal with and the little girl seems to be connected to the mother. I really love this. Was afraid at first because of the supernatural element, but the more I watch it I think its more allegorical. Side note: The white woman who plays the neighbor with the blonde hair is absolutely KILLING this role. I have seen that forced smile at so many places- the bank; the store LOL she is KILLING IT!
