This amazing movie, with the amazing Anthony Hopkins, doesn't just tell a story about a man enduring an Alzheimers like illness. It let's you experience sliding down that slippery slope right along side him. You start to feel like you don't know what to believe throughout the film. Hopkins, as always, is top notch and Olivia Colman , who plays his long-suffering daughter, captures all the feelings of a 24 hr care-giver. You can tell she's really been through it with him. My father had Alzheimers and it really hit home with me. I may have used a box of tissues but I can honestly say this movie is the best I've seen of it's kind. It's an important film.

To begin with: what kind of pretentious name is Olivier??? That kind of fakery represents this whole thing with enough plot holes to grate cheese with. Writing was poor, and the titular character was such a victim. Did she really think the Ed character would suddenly become so altruistic that he would switch allegiance to her side?? Too many coincidences and unexplained behavior- never did understand the whole breaking into the car showroom and destroying everything in her path. As a side note those kids needed their heads knocked together. She was totally oblivious. How can they do a season 2?
