Let’s make one thing clear the movie was good. I’d rank to somewhere between 12-18 in MCU movies. Here are some of my takeaways for the movie. (Warning spoiler for Doctor Strange 2 ahead.) First, the movie had way to much hype. There was suppose to be so many cameos but it only had the Illuminati. The Illuminati was very short lived as Wanda killed them off very quickly. So, I think that one of the main reasons this movie is getting a lot of hate is because of the unreal hype it had that was impossible to live up to. Second, I didn’t like the America Chavez character. She is the classic I got all this power but don’t know how to use it until I need it for the final scene. Doctor Strange gave her a speech and now knows how to use them perfectly after having no way of controlling them. I always hate that. The character itself was alright got stagnant at times though. Third, the Illuminati part was terrible. You mean to tell me that captain carter is the strongest out of all these superhero’s! All she has is a shield and a jet pack and she’s suppose to have the best shot against the scarlet witch like what? The movie has did an awful job of showing professor x’s power. Like I understand how powerful the scarlet witch is but there is no way to she beats him that easily in a mind battle. Fourth, the love story between doctor strange and Kristen is not good. Like she just got married and your going to confess your feelings about her there? There’s is a reason that no doctor strange could make it work it the thousands of different realities. I mean come on move on. Fifth, that second post credit scene was pitiful. Like maybe after he quits hitting himself the incursion starts to happen. Or white Vision comes and takes Wanda away with him. Honestly anything other than what they showed would have been better. Nobody wants to wait through all the credits just for that. Sixth, now before you thought that I was just going to name bad things about the movie there was a few good things about it. I absolutely loved the character of Wanda and scarlet witch in the movie. (I suggest you watch WandaVision to appreciate it more). The character development of her was very good. As she went from Wanda to full out scarlet witch then to making the sacrifice at the end of the movie. (Although I wasn’t the biggest fan of the ending). Seventh, the cgi in the movie was very good. Marvel keeps getting better and better at it. I also loved the way they showed what the doctor strange’s of destined to do with causing the incursion. All in all this movie was solid. It was doomed from the beginning with all the hype around it. With it suppose to have just cameo. It was suppose to be an avenger’s level movie but it just wasn’t. If this movie had the expectations of your average marvel than I think most people would be more than happy with it. But, that’s not what it was so it’s getting a lot more hate than it deserves. In my opinion I would suggest you go watch the movie so you can make up your own opinions about the movie. I hope that this helps out anyone who reads it. Although it did get a bit long. I would rate this movie 5/10 or 3/5. I’m very excited for marvel going forward and can’t wait to go see Thor love and thunder.
