It's a great album. Not typical Cure though. I think if you heard instrumental versions of some of the songs you'd struggle to identify the artist straight away, which is unusual for the Cure. It seems to borrow a more modern guitar sound from the 90s which in turn harks back to an early 70s vibe. But add to that the Cure magic and RS vocals and lyrics the result is warm, melodic, deep album. Love it.
