You need to be spiritual to understand this movie. People who did not like this movie must be so far away from their true self in their spiritual journey to not be able to relate this movie with The Bhagavad Gita or what Karma Yoga teaches. The writer and director blended highly philosophical message with entertainment in such a seamless manner, if this is not a great movie I don't know what else can be. Reminds me of director Shankar Garus movies where message is blended with commercial elements.
Songs could have been better. More money could have been spent. However the message the movie gives without being preachy is enough to give this a five star.
Reasons to watch:
Vintage Pawan Kalyan donning the railway coolie attire for Vayyari Bhama song
Kalyan garu redoing karo karo Jalsa one more time
Malli, Malli neekenduku ra pelli song from Thammudu
Message the movie gives, Karma, appreciating little things in life and not be caught up in your busy life.
The movie dares to talk about death and karma and that we are a mere instrument and are here on earth as tenants temporarily.
Dialogues like God gives the same time to a King and a Coolie, a lifetime. Kalyan Garu plays the God of time, Kala Yama of sorts.
Movie dares to touch about deep subjects like renouncing karthrithva bhavam or does-ship. It serves both well informed/educated/elite crowd (for lack of a better word or my limited understanding) as well hard core Pawan Kalyan fans who may not care about the message part.
I have seen actors transform their onscreen craze to offscreen to garner votes but Pawan Kalyan is the one person who breaks this trend and his offscreen persona is put onscreen through his movies. Only Pawan fans will get this.
Trivikram garu kept delving into this topic in Khaleja and many of his other movie dialogues also give a piece of this deep philosophy but the fine balance that he manages to achieve for example how he did it in Ala Vaikunta puramu lo or this movie Bro is commendable.
I haven't seen the tamil version and don't even want to.
Haters will keep hating.
Love is what conquers all boundaries and brings people together.
The effort Pawan Kalyan garu puts into his movies is less because of this main goal "betterment of the society".
People watch his movies as they like him offscreen!
Show me one other actor now who can do this ?
But trust me, the movie is very entertaining even to a non Pawan Kalyan fan as the story and screenplay are entertaining and the message it gives. Story is evident the trailer, so I don't need to reveal more. The concept is new and though it resembles Gopala Gopala on the first thought the differences end quickly.
Gopala Gopala in my opinion has parts that are anti Sanatana Dharma and anti ritualistic, but this movie is pro Sanatana Dharma and captures the essence of Karma Yoga or the Gita or what it means to be a Sanatani (I don't prefer the word Hindu).
The emotional scenes in the 2nd half are heart touching.
So happy to see Mother Goddess in the movie and a repeat of Lala Bhimla song.
Glad to see Brahmanandam garu's performance again doing a diffuclt scene where comedy is blended with seriousness.
Imagine the heart a person needs to have to cast someone who abused him but apologized later (30 years industry, Prithvi Raj Garu).
The story works as it deals with an accident in the story that Sai Dharam Tej faced in real life.
This movie blurs the line between the storyline and real life. I could see Trivikram Garu and Pawan Kalyan garus ideology through the movie.
Pawan Kalyan does not act. He is the same in movies or in real life.
