Very confused about the entire thing. I could not get over the supposed disability the MC has. She somehow is forced to join the military and become part of the most dangerous decisions in the world even though she is majorly weak, and can barely wave her hand without breaking her wrist. She somehow survives the trials even though, again, she is supposedly weak. And the illness is never brought up again in a way that matters. The illness and overcoming thag could've been a great character arc for her, but it really fell flat and just felt meaningless. Characters seem flat, unnecessary dragon porn, the main love interest is blander than Edward Cullen, and the main character is as useless as a rusted nail. The plot had potential, but the execution did not land. I've read a lot of books and this one has to take the number three spot on my worst top ten fantasy books.
