Ad Astra: actually is not a voyage to the stars but it’s a journey inside the hero who is due to his professional job repeatedly controlled his emotions and suppressed them until he almost forgot them. “Now he almost doesn’t have any sense about anyone and thinks prefers loneliness”, but after he experiments real loneliness in his adventure he’ll found the hand that comes to greet him, the hand of who even he can’t see his face, maybe is the most promising, pleasant and meaningful thing he has ever seen in his life. He found the meaning of philanthropy and love and come back to his ex-wife. This plus the good performance of Brad Pitt and some fascinating shots is what makes Ad Astra worth watching besides its weaknesses(in development of secondary characters, lack of cohesion in editing, vfx,...). “Lastly my deep wish for myself and everyone is that such experiences not be required for us to find this sense of philanthropy and love.”
