Emotional turmoil because the author throws every possible trauma at you. Decently written but some details were missing for me to visualize and fully be present in the story. The relationships she created were well done but I found myself wanting more substance to the climax when the female character makes tough choices based on petty reasons (in my opinion). This is the first book that I have disliked in a long time but it will stick with me. I wouldn’t recommend highly, I have issues with a number of the struggles that she put the characters into. The first 40 pages make you question why the book was written. Then you think you’re in the clear but a predictable twist occurs once you realize the author is trying to pop your happy bubble.
