So I came across this on YouTube, and the only episode that I saw was their wedding night. And I thought it was the beginning of the series!! Little did I know that it was only the second part!! I found the first part of the series and felt a complete disconnect!!! This series is like a mash-up of 2 movies, with the same lead actors. It's all right! All I can say is, thank goodness for YouTube!! You can skip, fast forward 2 or 3 episodes, and still get the main story line! I also had to rewind to the 12 - 16 episodes, to figure out how the main leads became complete strangers to each other!! Story development after the 16 episode is completely lacking! I was hoping for a love story and more interaction between the 2 main characters, but nothing, and then it gets worse in the amnesia stage! Wait, was it amnesia or just a complete do-over? Terribly lacking in this second part as well, aside from the usual intrigues, back-stabbing, manipulations and gas lighting that goes on in the palace. As with all Chinese dramas, the costumes are always excellent, too bad the writers and directors are not, but then maybe I am missing something in language and culture translation.... Hmmm..
