First heard Kristofferson while in Vietnam. Silver Tongued Devil was just released as I came home. bought it immediately, still have the original vinyl, plus a few of it’s later mates. Updated audio delivery, but the original is the best, and this is my favorite.
Tells my story, good & bad, takes me back, no hazy interpretive smoke. “Ya had to be there”!

Centers on the MLB idols who were involved during the period 1942-44.
Well written and entertaining to read.
Even if you’re not a baseball fan, it’s a great story. Pleasant and warmly laid out.
