As a white male, Boyz n the hood gives me a small glance at what life is for a black man even today. While I grew up in poor, mostly white, neighborhoods I had a much different life. For me, Boyz n the hood shows a small part of what happens to black men everywhere. It makes me think. Furious tries to teach not only Tre but all young black men about the disparity between race and ethnicity. I watch this movie at least 4 times a year even 30 years later. It's sad that America still hasn't moved forward
