Brompton Chess

Was urged to watch it by a friend who wanted my opinion on it, so took in all 6 episodes on iPlayer. Very poorly conceived and scripted tosh with a totally implausible scenario - there were numerous ways that train could have been stopped long before it reached London, and would almost certainly have derailed going at the speeds reported. Both lead characters were cringeworthy and just not believable. The climax where they where they were urging security staff to leave the building as Victoria a station would be totally destroyed were laughable - this was just one loco and a couple of coach’s, not a nuclear bomb. Even travelling at 100mph it would not do that much damage after hitting the buffers. The train stopping just short of the buffers was equally implausible given it was travelling at over 90mph crossing the Thames at the entrance to the station- it would not have been able to stop in such a short distance. Aside from the technical issues a train full of characters shouting and screaming, angry at something in every scene, is just not my cup of tea - in my experience people only act like that in soaps like Eastenders.
