All the negative reviews are from people who think they're reviewing the 2nd remake. The 1974 original literally inspired the original Halloween. Made before any horror cliches really existed. Great characters, great atmosphere, tense moments of suspense, and with twists and turns and an ending that was truly original for it's time. Holiday must watch for any horror fan.
