great series! I was a fan of rise of the tmnt but this universe is way better, as the turtles actually act, look and sound like teenagers ^_^ highly recommend to watch the movie first to understand further for the animated series. Beautiful art style and i adore the animation style they were going for. the dialogues felt so natural and really makes you think, "hey, these turtles really are just teens," and are highly relatable w teenagers such as myself too! i love the various irl references, it's such a fresh and a nice touch. not forgetting to mention i love how this universe have the humans accepting the turtles as a whole.
