Not your typical Disney movie & unlike every other live action remake out there. This rendition spins a new tale to introduce viewers to the legend of Mulan that had my heart pounding & wondering what turns the tale would take. Awe inspiring girl power mixed with self love & values. This film as always teaches young women that being true to yourself & honest with others will always get you farther than your dreams ever imagined. While the sound track mimics it's cartoon cousin, this is no musical film that has our heroine & friends breaking out in song every other scene. Gone are the kooky ancestral ghosts & lucky cricket. Instead we add a whimsical touch of magic combined with some old school kung foo special effects. Overall worth every cent for special premiere access & one I'll be watching again.
