🚨Spoiler alert🚨 Wow…Just wow. I got home about an hour from seeing this absolute gem. This movie, completely deserves an Oscar. Plot: 10/10 The plot is so interesting, meaningful, thought provoking, and complex that it is worth the watching for 3 hours. An example of this genius writing can be seen in the beginning when they quote the story of Prometheus, a Titan who stole fire from the gods and gave it to humanity, and for his actions he would be bound to be touched on a rock for all eternity. Another example is when they say “You have gave them the power to destroy themselves” and “Humanity is not prepared for this” The plot manages to perfectly capture the guilt, inner trauma, fear, and consequences that Dr. Oppenheimer felt after creating the atomic bomb. Attraction: 10/10 Done to perfection. A bad three hour movie will feel like a complete waste of time, and it can be hard to stay engaged in a three hour movie even if it’s written well. But Oppenheimer manages to keep you engaged and entertained for THREE HOURS. 👊 to Christopher Nolan man…Bravo. Theme: 10/10 The theme of this movie is just 😚. The movie has a theme where it shows us the consequences that effected Oppenheimer and how humanity was and still isn’t prepared for such a powerful weapon, and humans have the power to destroy ourselves. Acting: 10/10 Every character and role in this film manages to play an extremely important part and is significant to the entire story. Cillian Murphy does a great job showing the consequences Oppenheimer creation. Such powerful quotes and portrayal of this character. Dialogue: 10/10 While in my opinion all the dialogue in this movie was great and significant, I do believe they’re only a few lines that truly capture the theme and conscience of Oppenheimer. Cinematography: 10/10 Words can’t explain how great of a job Christopher Nolan and the design crew did on this film. The black and white setting to the colour setting is amazing. You really have to see for yourself to understand what I am saying but I promise you, you won’t be disappointed. Editing: 11/10 I am giving this an extra point for being the best visual affects in cinema history. Christopher Nolan and the design team managed to capture the power and wave of awesomeness that washes over you when lay eyes upon the sight of a mushroom cloud. Bravo 👏 🌹 Soundtrack: 10/10 They perfected the soundtrack perfectly it’s loud and scary when it needs to be and quiet and awesome when it needs to be. Execution and Vision: 10/10 Christopher Nolan’s vision to show the power and potential consequences of nuclear weapons was done marvellously with firm and strong direction. The “It” Factor (sets it apart) 10/10 The amazing plot, theme, acting, dialogue, cinematography, editing, soundtrack, a firm directing alone make this a remarkable film, but I think what separates this movie from all the others is the note it leaves on. “Will humans destroy ourselves?” Overall 101/100 Personal rating and note: Amazing I am proud to say that I watched Oppenheimer in theatres and I hope to one day feel a wave a nostalgia wash over me when this masterpiece of cinema reappears in my life. It has given me a lasting and new perspective and opinion of the world. Thank you to Christopher Nolan and all of the cast, and crew for making this film so amazing.
