Being a massive fan of Timothee Chalamet, I wished not to look at the movie with any particular bias (which was difficult). The movie absorbed me, as I felt every movement Chalamet made was called for and concentrated. Joel Edgerton was absolutely perfect for the role, and I infer that his involvement with the creation of the film may have greatly impacted the clarity within his character developments. Robert Patinson balances the movie out and I found myself fearing him. Excellent! Lily-Rose Depp's interpretation of Catherine concluded the story perfectly. The cinematography was gorgeous and highlighted the brutality and the pressures of war honestly. I found that the actors, as well as director did a superb job in creating an atmosphere of England that was corrupt, yet nods to the possibility progressivism. I throughly enjoyed this film, and want to watch it again immediately.
