If Raynor Winn has a personality, it doesn't come across in her writing. It took me over a year to finish the book as it really is a dull descriptive tale of 2 people walking a coastal path.
The film starts of very faithfully to the book. Weirdly, they have inserted an implausible meeting with a girl who follows them a short way which is not in the book (presumably to keep city filming out of the screen story)
After that, it's as if they couldn't be bothered finishing the rest of the story, wrapped up and put a few lines of text on screen to say how it ended.
Acting is really good but this is lacking in story. If you loved the book, you might like this but if the book dragged for you, give this a miss.
