The two-hour-long movie touches upon a wide range of inter-connected topical issues of great consequence, the most pressing of which include online misinformation, youth radicalisation, political conspiracy, immigration, the rise of far-right extremism and last but not least, the controversy surrounding gun control. The acting of the main protagonist is strikingly convincing. Enriched with an appropriately melancholic score, this dramatic film offers a condensed glimpse of contemporary Polish society and politics against a broader background of European policies and international affairs.

The plot is superficial and pathetic, exploting a sloppily researched biblical admonition to woo the audience. Even the few jump scares fail to evoke the tiniest thrill. Attempting to trade on disaster, the film is itself a catastrophoe.

This emotionally intense movie with a hair-raising plot is definitely worth the patience and understanding one has to have to get a kick out of it. The performance of the heroine is absolutely compelling, easily fooling the audience into believing she wasn't playing a role in a movie but presenting her true self in real life. The few scenes of horrifying self-torture will leave one reeling long after the movie ends. The themes of modern alienation and religious fanaticism are so well-portrayed that the film could serve as a valuable subject of discussion in any social science class.

The first African movie I've ever watched and it completely blew me away. I cried, laughed, despaired, and hoped with the characters. This moving and uplifting film afforded me a rare opportunity to catch a glimpse of Malawian culture and society, politics in post-colonial Africa, the impact of climatic disasters on African farmers and last but not least, the resilience and ingenuity of the African peoples in the face of adversity. It would not be an overstatement to say the movie is a triumph of the African cinema.

The implausibility of the plot is the only thing this dreadful movie excels at.

I thought the story was going to be tense, suspenseful and unexpected but unfortunately, it turned out to be the opposite.

I was intrigued by the plot until the two heroines unbelievably worked together to take revenge on their common abusers, resulting in the final exceedingly gory and cruel scene.
