Before watching the movie, there are bad reviews flying over social media. It's understandable if some don't like it. So let me also give my opinion about it as all are entitled to their own opinion. A zombie fanatic just looked for the running and survival, the movie gave us that, seems like just rant. The details are also there like an object is explained in the first part of the movie as to why the objects were there that became valuable to the scenes. The reason why the older son transitioned from fear of gun to using it as character development. The surprise shocking scenes, the originality of a zombie characterisation that makes you have sympathy for the zombie because of the last words and memory they utter that has deeper meaning and story in their own way of being part of the story as zombies. The cycle of violence in a family that passed on to the next generation. The issues of couples that won't leave them in peace,the hidden secrets that always ruin the relationship and the family. The barriers that has double edge against zombies that turned out to be a cage for the members of the family. The pandemic that showed us there is no escape in abuse and violence in family because people are trapped in their homes and people they are with. How a family deals with a psychotic member of the family and was there an escape, and redemption of the abuser before death. The story has layers. If you are just looking for people running away from zombies,there are dumb zombie movies out there you would enjoy as brain dead zombie fanatic. Just play video games, this movie is for those who understand the deeper meaning of the story.
