I wanted to love this book, but it fell short for me. I definitely think the details and illustrations of Egyptology was a bit much. It would have been better (and shorter) without it. The going back and forth between Boston and Cairo was confusing at times. It would have been helpful to have dates in the titles of the chapters.
The above are really the only things that disappointed me. There were many parts of the book I enjoyed, and it definitely got me thinking. A lot of food for thought.
