I was a major fan of the original 47 feet down and was really excited for the uncaged version of it,
I as well almost instantly fell in love with the beginning of the movie as I could already tell how hard it would be for them to get out.
it was quickly short-sighted when it came down to the sharks and the random attacks.
when I got a look at the shark I was excited to think they took a change of the type of shark and chose a mako shark, once I realized it was a great white it really disappointed me as the shark wasn't really well done and it seemed as though they didn't do any reference to how a great white even looked and completely 'Yolo'd it.
on top of that, some of the shark attacks were completely random and felt unnecessary and as though it was only there for surprise value. this goes for character moments too, some moments felt completely unnecessary and out of character for them, some characters were only there to rank up the kill count and it personally upset me.
the tanks went from 100% and decreased quickly within just a few minutes into the movie, then when they're desperate for air it was as though they had an infinite amount of air supply.
the ending was very well though! I loved how it came down to the people who were able to get out and it felt like it was relating to the original movie and the twist ending.
I was getting all giddy at the end but it felt upsetting at how only the start and end was okay to praise.
