Simply one of the best and important series of the last 10 years, and why fiction can trump truth. I read Hillbilly Elegy and imagined it becoming a movie since it was so prophetic. I heard about this show on NPR, and with the interview with the actress who plays Maggie I knew I had to watch the series as she said in her childhood she watched lying and manipulative politicians exploit voters. Now I hear they have made a movie of Hillbilly Elegy and it has gotten terrible reviews, and it didn't need to be made, all you need to do is watch this , especially the first two seasons.
