If you're nostalgic about the animated Mulan, I suggest you dust off your VCR and watch it again. If, however, you are open minded to a different interpretation of the Legend of Mulan, I think you will be pleasantly surprised and entertained with Niki Caro's vision of Mulan. It is a great movie with great visuals and respect to the traditional Chinese value of family, loyalty and honor. Watching this movie, I am reminded of the value that my parents instill in me as a Chinese. Loyalty, brave, and true. I think this movie has brought honor to us all. If you are boycotting the movie due to your politics, I understand where you're coming from but I pity you. Cast your politics aside and give this movie a chance, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
