I would give this 4.25 stars I really loved how this book was written and how complicated and simple the plot was at the same time. Jude was an amazing female lead because she was earning her spot in Faerie and she wasn’t the chosen one. You could also see how her character was morally grey and how as she stated she would be much worse if she couldn’t beat the Fae. Cardan Greenbriar was also an amazingly written character because after all that abuse and neglect he started becoming worse because of his tragic life. I loved how they hated and related to each other but I wish they had more close moments together. I did not love Wicked King to be honest, and I hate Taryn, Locke, Nicasia, and Valerian and a majority of Cardan’s siblings. The political intrigue was amazing and I LOVED Queen of Nothing. I recommend reading Shatter Me, Red Queen, and the Selection if you liked the folk of the air series. The only thing I did not like was the lack of cardan and jude moments where they did not hate each other but overall this was beautiful and I almost started to cry. Also read ACOTAR if you liked this. I think this book is like 14+ but I read it when I was 12, so if you’re mature enough you can start at 11. I loved this it is amazing!!!!!!
