This Film Exceeds the Original in all ways and the Original was a Masterpiece. First, The Directing by Denis Villenvue was LEGENDARY. The Gritty Dystopian Bleak Atmosphere was non like Iโve ever seen before, the World building is an A+, the Atmosphere, you really feel like you are there in the World, The Story is Complex but Very Understandable. Filled to the Top with Plot Twists and Extremely Impactful and Emotional Scenes. Letโs Address the Elephant in the room, the Visuals. The Visuals are something you would see in 2049. Far better than anything you would see in 2017! The Monumental Scale of the Building and Advertisement Screens in the Cities were VERY Impressive. The Acting is an A+. Ryan Gosling Embodied Officer K / Joe. He does look like a Misguided Police Man. Harrison Fordโs Return as Deckard was satisfying, we just NEED more of him. Ana de Armas as Officer Kโs Artificial Girlfriend: Joi was a Perfect Choice, their Chemistry is a Cherry on the Top of the Film. The Villains (Jared Leto etc) make intriguing yet almost forgettable (due to their screentime) Characters with Stirring presence, Very Unique. The Plot goes from a Case to Personal, I think thatโs a great idea. We just need a Blade Runner 2049: Directors Cut (3 and a Half hour version) I donโt know if Blade Runner 2099 if that happens. Can it live up to this MASTERPIECE.
