I think Miss Crawford needed the money...it' s a sad waste of talent .. poorly executed on all levels.. makes you wonder who was in the room when they gave a green light to this project...

There is a good movie somewhere inside this unfocused MESS...This is the movie that would not end with characters we have long sensed to care about ... the sub plots are under developed and the waste of talent... For a moment I felt bad for the actors who had to make this thing come to life... Then I remembered they got paid a lot of money for this public evisceration.. On the positive side the production values and blocking are well done ,the sequences that include many extras are nicely orchestrated... the subject matter that gave birth to this film is rich colorful and filled with passion turmoil greed and genius ... It is so sad that it borders on being criminal that Babylon is so bereft of the passion and magic that makes us love the movies...
