Mulk (2018) - 1.5/5 - Watch only if you are fond of cliches or have nothing better do with your time.
There is a ton of circumstantial evidence piled up against him and he walks away scot-free? Despite the loss of 16 innocent lives? Whatever happened to the laws around abetting terrorism!? I am all for movies that highlight social issues but this seemed to be a propaganda piece.
The storyline was predictable all through, a drab, and a big bore. After his past failed projects, the director was grasping at straws in this movie with cliches like a Hindu daughter in law, a Muslim SSP. Oh and the dialogues were bland too. As for Pannu's acting, only if screaming your opinion in the courtroom could win you cases... The two Kapoors (Rishi and Rajat) came up with acceptable performances but that's not saying much.
Final verdict: AVOID.
