REVISED UPDATED REVIEW:
It was and remains one my favorite childhood TV cartoon series. It Remains Hugely Sentimental to me Because I would watch it regularly After School during my Early Childhood Education.
It is a Disney produced TV series from the early 1990s...I remember after 1st grade or 3rd Grade I would watch this cartoon series regularly at home in Whittier after School from the Disney Afternoon lineup on TV....๐โฅ๏ธ It is very creative and original and Funny and Positive Warm and is based on characters adapted from Disney's "The Jungle Book" and adapted to a 1930s setting with the anthropomorphic characters. I also remember playing the Nintendo game based on the TaleSpin show around the same Time the early 90s..It was Enjoyable Though a bit challenging and linear at times. As a small boy, I was able to enjoy the Talespin theme McDonald's Happy Meal toys and some of the Talespin toy merchandise such as a floating SeaDuck toy which I used to float in our swimming pool at home in Whittier.
As I was a Growing Teen Boy in the San Francisco Bay Area nobody, at least as far as I was aware, in all the different schools I was sent to seemed to like the show or remember it...and I remember the neighborhood kids of some the places I was moved to did not like the show at all and refused to watch it.
However, I always have kept "TaleSpin" Sentimental in my Heart, Especially Baloo and Kit and the SeaDuck plane and "King Louie's Place" nightclub that Place the fantastical dreamy Island Restaurant/Disco/Bar That Baloo loved to take work breaks at.... Actually I don't recall any friends of mine ever being a fan of the show even from childhood...So I Am the the only one I know who is...LOL...Though I am sure there have been and are millions of fans of this show around the world like me, Especially '90s kids Like Me.
As I started to go to college as a Developing Young Man I bought a few VHS tapes of it to watch for fun when had some free time and then Later the DVD collection when those came out. I did watch during my college years very Occassionally I'm not embarassed to admit and it was Fun and Relaxing as a diversion break from Real Life....In more Recent years as a Family Man I have purchased a
few of the comic books and story books in Recent Years for Pure Fun and to Share with my Baby Girl too....However, with Family and Work Duties I Have Had Less time to watch the Show But probably for the Rest of my Life if I can find some time to watch it on Streaming or Future Newer Technologies It Will always bring a sentimental comforting smile to my face and sunshine happy feelings memories....And if New really Cool TaleSpin merchandise are ever released again like new books/toys or a New Disney Talespin movie or even a new Talespin Show, Preferably based on the original IP, Certainly I will Watch it buy those products, given I still have a few bucks and some free time to Spare in the Future.....LOL. Hahaha. :)
