This is, by far, one of the best movies I have ever seen. The acting is superb, definitely Tessa’s best work (in my opinion), and both actresses should be up for Oscar nominations. From the way they looked to the way they spoke, the mannerisms, and ability to convey a message without words, they were sublime. The movie looks beautiful, transports you back in time, and filming it in black and white was genius on many levels. There’s so much one can say about this film, in so many positive ways, but the bottom line is that nothing is black and white, nothing in life is just what it seems, and this movie conveys this perfectly.
