This book of poetry and prose is truly amazing. I had stopped reading poetry along time ago but this book had reignited my desire again. The author’s ability to weave stages and circumstances in a woman’s life into free flowing pages is something to applaud. The theme on Family I think touched me the most because of my abhorrent upbringing and childhood. The poem “A Mother’s Voice” is almost bittersweet to me and “Hands and Arms” describe how I feel about being touched, even now at almost 36. “The Choice” will truly make you think deeply about our choices in life and how we came to be on our unique paths. I just couldn’t get enough and had trouble putting it down. I believe this body of work is something every woman should ready and maybe some men. I will definitely cherish this piece of art, because that’s what it is, and read it over and over again.
