I don’t usually care much about modern kids TV shows (that I'm forced to watch), but this one is so good I felt the need to post this. Having grown up in the 80s, it will always be known that our generation of TV shows will always remain "unmatched". Bluey however manages to break the modern mould and achieve something deemed impossible. Not only is Bluey educational and enjoyable for both the children and the adults, it manages to avoid the usual repetition found in most modern shows. You know, the same old nursery rhymes, same old dumb character stereotypes etc etc. I just hope Bluey remains a fond memory for both my own children when they look back.
The animation style is simple, effective, but detailed enough to keep you engaged. The soundtrack is also that impressive that I've pre-ordered a copy so the kids can enjoy dancing away to the catchy tunes.
I found the majority of the episodes are fun and keep you laughing. Situations and events are so relatable from the perspective of both being a parent and also from those increasing distant childhood memories. There are however some stand out episodes that contain an underlying meaning and give off so much emotion it shows the creators have really put some effort into their creation. This keeps each episode fresh and unique and dare I say it, you wanting more (when is season 3 coming?).
Anyway, if you're a parent who is forced to share the TV with their kids, then Bluey is a great option to have especially if you're sick of the same old repetition of the other shows made freely available for our little ones. RIP Pepper Pig, you shall not be missed!!!
