What it is is well written enough, colorful, well animated, and it well represents the world and works very well with DnD concepts. What it isn't is particularly uplifting, and I wouldn't say I had a lot of fun watching it. Pacing is not great the first 3 episodes. Hard to build empathy and connect with the plot or characters. Gore is more detailed than necessary. Not here for that. Though I think it has the best use of vomit in a fight scene I've seen perhaps ever, so props to the first 10 minutes for that.
