Mackenzie Henbury

Captivating story and great acting. I went into this movie on a bored whim with no insight of what it was about and found it to be very action packed. A lot of heart touching moments (along with gut punching sad ones) but this movie did leave a mark. Although this is just a movie and is obviously embellished to capture an audience (which it does), saving children is such an important matter and I feel that this movie spreads that message (even one child is one too many).

Unrealistic and too political for a teen drama. The main character quickly became an antagonist while attempting to seem empowering. She began ruining her own relationships. Overall, not a good representation. Failed attempts at being woke such as “why are we reading old books written by white men about other rich white men” and “you don’t understand my struggles because you’re white” There was also a random point at the end while addressing feminism that a black girl stood up and said “I’m 110% black, my hair is nappy, and no you can’t touch it” or something along those lines which I found very odd, irrelevant, and unnecessary.
