At first this film feels somewhat boring and slow. However i feel Katee Sackhoff holds it together with her skills as an actress (brilliant in Battlestar Galactica)
A low budget movie,so SFX not upto par with todays expectations, but this is less important for a movie that is more philosophical and centred almost entirely upon Katee's character and the AI ARTI. I thought i understood some of its plot and ideas, but was still unimpressed. Turing tests for artificial intelligence, computer virtual realities, simulations and quantum physics all get a role to play in the underlying ideas, but i was still left confused. However after reading a number of explanations on line by folk obviously brighter than i,i came to realise that it is very deep, clever and thought provoking (apparently) so i think its worth another watch or even a few watches just to try and get a better handle on it.Worth a try. And ultimately its got Starbuck in it,so it can't be that bad.
