Perfection with the exception of the bland and miscast Dominic cooper. This is an improvement on the film, which sadly rushes through events in the way film adaptations always do. The series gives time to develop characters and their emotional connections to each other. The two female leads were wonderful and David Morrissey was born to play Brandon. Pure class.

Aside from an electric performance by Di Caprio and the technical excellence you should expect, I thought the film to be an odd, over long mess which for some reason felt it needed Kurt Russell telling us exactly what we can already work out for ourselves on screen. Why is there so many shots of people's feet?! Tarantino's occasional desire to rewrite history is beginning to grate. It devalues and disrepects those concerned. Thank goodness he has called time on his career. I wish he had done so after the wonderful Jackie Brown.

Coogan is jaw-droppingly good in this. For what it's worth it is an entertaining, dramatic insight into what really happened that offers us more than any documentary can as it puts us in the environments that these dispicable acts took place in. I was deeply traumatised and now can connect emotionally with what happened rather than watch, horrified from the sidelines. Congratulations to all involved in making this.
