The word Spring symbolizes love, joy, spirituality, youth and melancholy and most importantly, the beginning of a new life for a person, after suffering at the hands of the "cold world of autumn."
Spring is refreshing, it is like a warm breeze on a cold winter night.
It is like the bright rays of the sun on a gloomy day.
It is like quenching your thirst in a barren and dry desert.
This series is past its halfway point, and I would like to attempt to explain why it is entitled the way it is, through a poem I made. In this poem, I imagine Da-jeong narrating this to Young-do, as her way of telling him how much she appreciates him. So far, he has been with her every step of the way - understanding, guiding and calming her.
You Are My Spring...
-when my soul is weary
-when my troubles are dreary
You Are My Spring...
-when my mind is in chaos
-when my heart is being preyed on
You Are My Spring...
-when my eyes are filled with tears
-when my lips are full of swears
You Are My Spring...
-when my body is worn out
-when my head is all in doubt
You Are My Spring...
-you stay beside me and support me with your wing
-you protect me and shield me like a king
-you hold me and comfort me even if I cling
-you watch me and look over me so nothing will sting
-you stand by me and make me want to sing
You are my spring and all the good it can bring
