This ought to have appealed to me. The concept of the prequel to the Norman invasion is interesting. There the appeal ended.
The remarkable combination of poor casting, not a single role found a square peg put in a square hole, worse acting, the actors at best seemed embarrassed to be involved, a ludicrously inaccurate landscape, and the obligatory handful of incongruous black actors, made this turgid experience unwatchable.
Luckily I know how it turned out in the end because two episodes were two too much.
I shouldn't be surprised if all involved in squeezing out this turd choose to lose it from their c.v's by inventing periods of imprisonment.
