Seaon 3 has been the best season ever! The show has taken Star Trek lore to a new and distant future, similar to what the original series did in the late 1960s, it presented viewers with a far and distant future. Given its based in the 32nd century it's allowed more aspects of the Star Trek universe to be expanded and developed. I know many trek fans have issues with the show (the story writing, character development etc... the list can be endless) but I believe its unfair and unfounded based on convoluted over expectations of nostalgia over old Trek series and need for over sensational plots.
The story arch of the burn was brilliant, of how something so unintentionally simple can cause so much damage and disconnection in a galaxy that by all counts seamed to be at its prime. Michele's characters development arch has especially been great to see. Many people have complained that she cried too much, but, after a year of being disconnected from all she knows (which we are not privy to), the crying and expression of emotion is understandable and logically relatable to humans.
I hope season 4 brings us more world building, character development and more cool 32nd star fleet ships designs!
