Loved it.....couldn't put it down. The author has such a wonderful way of describing the places and characters that I came to believe that these people were REAL.

I read this book a few years back but just recently saw the movie. Was stunned by how well the movie portrayed the characters in the book. I was very impressed by the actors and kudos go out to them for their magnificent performances. The story is very heart-wrenching but it goes to show you, even when the parents are dysfunctional, the love is still there. I am so proud of Ms. Walls' rising above her situation in life and wish her continued success in her future endeavors.
