I really enjoyed the first season. For those that are expecting to see an exhaustive documentary about Russia, you will be disappointed. This is a fun, entertaining tv show loosely based on some things that happened in Russian history, but mostly, its just fun. Oh, and serious. And sad. Ok, just be prepared for your emotions to run the gamut...and to be entertained.
