In judging this book, one must bear in mind that it was written in prison without full references. The first 7 chapters are a fairly good summary. But Nehru, the politician, becomes insincere later on. He makes no mention of all those who fought and died valiantly but were not part of the Congress. Most painful are the omissions of the revolutionaries, Subash (mentioned briefly) and the INA .
But then this is NEHRU... the politician who led India into neocolonialism.
