A badly written , badly acted affair.. silly convoluted story with plot holes you could sail the QE2 through.. its so bad its almost good..

Well its not Tolkien.. if it was generic fantasy its still not great but would perhaps get an extra star or two... apart from the huge amount of stuff that is not Tolkien , and using his IP and respecting his world is rather poor to say the least. Inserting Gandalf into the 2nd Age is a big leap .. him and his four fellow Istari dont turn up for another Age .. but that's just one of many too numerous to mention. Its pretty to watch.. music score is decent but acting is well substandard.. story is disjointed .. and to be honest I cant take the characters seriously .. the elves dont have that ethereal look that Jackson did well with .. just overdressed men or women with a bad hair and pointy ears.. cant handle Dwarves with no beards..etc the script is dire and the poor actors are given lines that some poor fan fiction teenager could have done better with than the so called writers. Its a good example of what is wrong of so much TV and Movies these days. I struggled to the end of season one and then sought out some mental health support as it grated so much but will not be taking any time to watch a second more of this drivel .. much to prefer to watch Amazon shows such as Reacher and the Boys.. which do lack a certain Woke feel .. guess thats why they are such hits unlike the ROP which I hope is RIP as JRRT is turning in his grave with this crap .. and its amazing to see how many 5 stars there are.. guess a lot are just paid for...

Boring .. sad to see the demise of a great character.. the annoying new addition of a Mary Sue type just put the nails in the coffin .. it's typical current Disney fare .. having just watched Last Crusade it really hit home how bad things have got.

I have had a great time playing... whilst its still a work in progress but so far its been a great time.. the dilemma of what to research and what tech to design and upgrade your ships is really clever and makes you make some difficult choices ... for example focus on huge dreadnaughts with big gun technology but neglect torpedo protection and you end up with very large and expensive ships being blown out of the water ... will be much happier when more features get implemented.
