This movie is absolutely a must see (if you like watching movies). People need to stop saying "why making a sequel", "no one is better than Julie Andrews", "don't ruin the original". How many 007, Jack Ryan, or Spider-Man do we have? When there's a remake or sequel or something like this, it's because the material is awesome, and worth to make a film/tv shows again. Indeed no one is better than Julie Andrews. That's why Rob made a new one, that's not 1964 version. That's why Emily didn't watch the old one, so she can be the best Mary Poppins in 2018. It's been 54 years, we have better technologies and all the films that we can study from the past, so why can't these people take the challenge and make the movie? I'm a huge Emily Blunt's fan, and I've been waiting for this movies for like 2 years..and it's worth the wait!!! The music, lyrics, costume, actions, story line are absolutely delightful. Besides Emily, the whole crew did a great job to bring the classic on the big screen. Lastly, trailer isn't a movie, so go watch it!!

It was a fun movie to watch. I don't think it's fair to compare this movie to Bohemian Rhapsody as it's not a biography. I personally think the pace was a bit slow (but not like falling asleep). There were some funny moments, and the story line was kind of predictable. It depends on how people see from the movie, besides the love story there are still some good messages from the movie. Too bad Lily didn't get to sing much, and Kate McKinnon was great in the movie!!

I give it a 7/10. It's (definitely) not as good as the original, but it's not a "I want my money back" movie. First, I enjoyed the music score A LOT. Second, Pumbaa and Timon, you will laugh. And the story line stayed (pretty much) to the original. Then I can see why it got some negative reviews. The voice and the characters didn't come together, not that they sounded bad, but kind of without the soul(?). And the songs sounded fine in the movie, but again, I just feel like it's not very moving. Lastly, it's the message of the movie, I think it was a bit all over the place. I won't blame them as it's hard to remake one of the greatest films, and there were so many elements that they had to piece together. If you are a BIG fan of the original film, you can probably wait till it's on Netflix or DVD. Otherwise, it's worth to watch, laugh a bit, and bring back some good memories.

I think I've seen all the Disney live action (remake) movies, this one, they could have done better. As the story/script isn't original, it did make it harder for the actors/actress to play their roles. Let's take Beauty and the Beast for example (though it's not my favorite one). It followed pretty much the first one (1991), the costumes, soundtrack, story line...etc, and it added a little new elements in it. Overall it was pretty amazing, despite that mostly were done with CGI and maybe auto tune.. If your children love the princess stuff, maybe it isn't a good choice for the family movie. But, if you like James Newton Howard, or seeing Keira Knightley speaking in a weird voice (which I'm impress), or seeing little Murph (from Interstellar) playing a big role (and I'm glad she hasn't turn weird or anything), then you should still give it a shot.

I watched this movie two weeks ago, I would say it's creative, funny (some of the conversation), but I really hope this is not happening to the kids in general. The kids did a good job (although I can't imagine if I have kids and make them work on this set...), I was able to laugh at some scenes because they are (and their characters are) innocent. I couldn't see much take-away from the movie. It wasn't like I grew up in a perfect society, but the kids should have a healthier environment and to say NO to things nowadays. There were many scenes that the kids/teenagers are doing something for the wrong reason. I'm glad I did close my eyes for some parts...though knowing what was going on, at least I don't have those images in my head. If you really need some laughs and think the trailer is okay, go for it, otherwise I don't think it's highly recommended nor would I watch it again.

I've seen some of King's works, but I'm not a big fan of King or thriller movies. I am a fan that enjoy movies, and watch them in the theater. I like IT (2017), and IT Chapter Two wasn't too bad. Lots of people talk about the length of the movie. As I've never read the book, so I don't know if the movie was missing something. I think they made the right cuts for 2 hrs 50 mins, it wouldn't make much sense (to me) if it was shorter. Here's what I like: - I really like the transition between past and present, the actors/actresses did a good job with their characters. - Richie's reaction throughout the movie, kind of need a Richie in the office. - Music score, it brings the tension, when I close my eyes (I just don't want to see that much blood) I can still feel what's going on. So after nearly 3 hours, I did get scared, there were some emotional moments, laughing moments, it was a movie that worth to watch, I wouldn't ask them to give my money back.

It was a lovely film. The story was pretty simple, Kate's (Emilia) life was falling apart, this guy named Tom (Henry) showed up and helped her out. It's a traditional rom-com, where you can probably predict what will happen next, and if you have seen other Paul Feig's movies, there's always a "surprise". I liked this movie not because Emilia and Henry have the best smile, but the movie just touches my heart with the simplest meaningful message. So, if you are currently in some crisis, hopefully this movie will cheer you up a little bit. Or if you just need a break to laugh a little bit, Emilia and Henry (and the rest of the actors/actresses) won’t let you down.

I think it was a good movie. I didn’t like it because I’m not a big fan of cat or cats (the musical), and I think I’m just scared of the whole idea with cats acting like human. But it was not a bad film. If you hate the trailer, don’t watch it. If you love cats, hate the trailer, don’t watch it. Don’t bring your children, they will have nightmares. This film has 99% of singing, so if you’re not a big fan of people dancing and singing, you will fall asleep. I think the casts did a good job (the actors/actresses that I didn’t recognize before), their dancing and singing were just beautiful. About their voices, I don’t understand those who said Judi Dench and McKellen’s voices cracked. Well, I don’t know if anyone can sound like Taylor Swift in their 80s. They did fine. About their choreography, it is challenging. Obviously, you would want to have something new and not to copy from the Broadway. I don’t understand dancing much, but I’m sure it wasn’t that bad. About the bad critics, they are just showing the sad reality of our world. I’m not saying we have to watch or like the movie, but I believe many of those reviewer, they hated the moment when they see the trailer or at the first scene and didn’t even bother to see the good parts about this film. I guess this film did the world a favor, just to see how cruel people are and the level of arts that people can understand. Lastly, I was a bit shocked after I watched the movie to be honest…but after I listened to the soundtrack (without seeing the cats), I felt much better.

Still can't get the tickets for avengers so I watched Long Shot instead, and it wasn't too bad. Normally I wouldn't pay full attention to a movie with predictable story-line and a happy ending, somehow Charlize and Seth just made it work. There might be some negative comments about the roles, the plot, blah, but...if you don't take it too seriously, it's a fun/relaxing movie to watch. Btw, the lady sat next to me said "I want my money back" after the first 3 minutes..but then she laughed so loud for the rest of it.
