Ive been very VERY excited for Masters of the Air for a long long time (Band of Brothers is my all-time favorite show bar none). Two episodes in and I'm soooo disappointed. Episode 1 is so crammed and rushed that little resonates. While Episode 2 is a slight improvement, but Im not invested into the characters or any main story. The CGI is poor and looks fake, the script serves every detail on a plate, and the music unsubtly tries to dictate your emotional response. With BoB, I was in France, shooting every round, feeling every loss. I cared. With MotA, I'm sat on my sofa, bored, pondering making a coffee. I couldn't care less. Honestly there's no comparison to Band of Brothers, its much more akin to Pearl Harbor. I'm gutted.
