Den of Thieves

I love the original movie so much, I bought stitch sandals to wear to the premiere (the type of sandals where the front is his head and his ears flop out everytime u take a step) but this ones a mixed bag: On one hand, I was so glad and happy to see it come to life.I was crying from start to finish (u know, the type of crying where tears soak ur face and cheeks from so much joy) because it was like watching a childhood cartoon movie become real. On the other hand though, I also hated it because of how they changed the best parts and left u thinking "why would they do all these parts exactly like the original but not the parts that made us laugh our ass off?!? Why do they keep taking the magic out??". New characters were added that have no business being there, and memorable parts and characters were missing (sigh). After the movie, i wished w all my heart they woulda kept everything the same. Hence, the minus 1 star. Woulda been 3 stars but the Lilo they got is perfect! She saves this movie imo. Stitch is just as awesome and just like his true self: wild! They both deliver a phenomenal performance. The new Nani passes but barely makes it. She's missing some of the quirkiness we saw w og Nani that made her memorable. Still, it was fun to watch, and there's enough to take u back to when u first saw the original. Childhood/adulthood memory unlocked!!
