Main lead very arrogant and shameless. He stole a life and act as if his success is because of his hardwork. When the truth is he only got the opportunity to be recognize because he became the heir. And what's with junhee liking him even when he turned to be taeyong. He just full of greed and soemone who abandons your family for money. He deserves to be lonely and broke im the end. I like the real taeyong more for junhee and his family. He doesnt deserve anything.

First time watching a kdrama that I hardly couldn't finish watching an episode which was still on its first half.. I find the story very lacking, disappointing, boring and not very well thought of.. I was looking for a new historical korean drama to watch but couldn't find something so i thought of trying this one even tho there's not great reviews about it. And yeah, it's really a pain to watch.. first of, i found the male lead's character ( ma hoon) quite deceiving and selfish.. This character doesn't deserve to be a male lead but an antagonist.. From the earliest episodes, clearly, he always had a selfish motive for gaettong.. he acted as if he couldn't care less yet he's the one who fell inlove first with the girl.. and having that feeling after Su went missing he took the advantage of making the girl fall inlove with him while promising to find the girl's fiance. And his selfishness grew worse when he finally knew about Su becoming the King, and manipulating the two lovers preventing them in meeting each other or atleast have gaettong know what really happened to Su. Knowing all of that he still continued to lie to gaettong and made her fell more inlove with her while making excuses just to prevent them from getting back together. He always make decisions for the two couple which should not be and saying excuses as if what he was doing was the right thing to do for the couple especially for gaettong. Which only made gaettong's feelings for Su drift away the longer she waited.. So obviously in the end ma hoon swayed gaettong's heart due to his meddling and lies. Ma hoon was so scared to let them meet each other until he already knew that she already likes him. So its already too late for the couple since gaettong completely had a change of heart already. He got just the girl because of his schemes. I really don't like the story at all! There's no substance to it or any good morals to impart. Plus if the writer really intends to have that character as his male lead then why established a very strong love story for the engaged couple rather than the lame and manipulative love story for gaettong and Ma hoon? Watching the drama, It's only right if gaettong ended up with Su. Not because he' s king but because he has proven his unconditional love for gaettong different from the selfish and manipulative love of ma hoon.. By far, this is the drama that I really don't like at all. I hardly can't finish watching it wherein it will usually just take me 3 to 4 days to watch a 16 episode korean drama. Thumbs down. Don't bother to watch 😤😤😤

The final episode was so strong! It gave justice to Vincenzo Cassano's character as the Italian Mafia that I had been waiting since the first episode.. It had gone all out and I sooo much love it!
