Sadly Netflix cannot or doesn’t want to hire good actors. Anyway, something went terribly wrong with this serial. I am also afraid that this deteriorating standard starts to be noticeable in most Netflix productions. If I were the CEO of this company I would definitely start reviewing the artistic strategy now, before the amount of subscribers will start dropping rapidly.

I didn’t have a huge expectations when I started watching the first episode, but I am pleased to say, it’s definitely worth to ‘see’ the entire season. The acting is very good, the characters are well defined, some fight scenes are outstanding (particularly the one performed by JM), the costumes, scenery and sounds are also excellent. It goes without saying that scenario when we are punished by the nature for treating our environment unfairly is highly possible, perhaps even experienced by us in a form of pandemic now. So who knows, maybe the future hides nasty surprises for us as well if we don’t change our attitudes. Anyway, bravo Apple TV, good work!

I was very sceptical long before release date, but Netflix delivered this time and I am absolutely delighted. Every episode was better than the previous one which you really expect while binge watching. I was doing my best to spread all the watching for a couple of days, but as my excitement grew I have swallowed the entire season in two days with no guilt at all. Henry Kavill was brilliant, and his sword fighting scenes were act of art itself. I think he set a new benchmark for the swordsmanship on the screen. The graphics, costumes and special effects added to the quality. And yes, I have no problem with the performance of the other actors and their backgrounds. This is in the end the diverse word of Sapkowski, not medieval one as some narrow minders suggested. I am looking forward to watch the season 2.
